GUITARIST WANTED!
Guitarist (Rhythm and Lead) needed to join established Melbourne Alternative Rock band Vespertine. Pro. level, equipment, attitude. Passionate and committed. Willing to travel. Genuine, honest, friendly, positive persons
only. Age: mid-late 20s – early 30s ONLY. (Rhythm and lead will be
shared with Lizzy).
Full band rehearsals in Seaford (OR rehearsal rooms with best distance between all
four members, eg Cheltenham), acoustic rehearsals in Red Hill, Rosebud, Balnarring AND/OR your place. Gigs
from Geelong to Melbourne to Mornington Peninsula, with interstate plans.
The
Vespertine sound ranges "from blistering rock and jarring dissonance to dream-like mellow moments of ethereal beauty." (Taken from the Vespertine Bio).
*Guitarist: Record one or two solo performance
pieces that shows your diversity; plus record the lead guitar parts from "Perfect Storm" by Vespertine (email vespertineband@hotmail.com and we will send you the mp3).
We chose "Perfect Storm" as the audition song, as the lead
guitar in it is as difficult as it gets for us. The lead guitar is crazy and fast to complement the "storm" and the "craziness"
of falling in love. All of the other songs will not require so many notes or speed, infact i have a "less is more" aproach
to my songs, so we just need to know you can do this one.
